Day 42 Tuesday (14 April 2009)

Prepare to leave to Wuhan. Tidy up the room and Mr MA check our luggage weight. Lucky 28kg. We went down about 9 am. 2 hrs bus to airport. Mr chua treat us friend rice. We check in, board the plane, the plane is very small. Then, reach Guang Zhou, not much time to walk around, check in again to leave china. When we reach to Singapore, we took group photo, then some of my friends bought liquor. Went back to home. Singapore is so HOT. I miss wuhan weather.

Day 41 Monday (13 April 2009)

Planned to wake up 6:30 am to go Shou yi guang chang , but we were unable to wake up on time. We woke up 7:30, rush to bus stop. We took bus to go Shou yi guang chang, but we overshot one bus stop and then we are desperately finding a bus to go back, then we found one bus number 01 that can go to Shou yi guang chang. And it cost only one yuan. We had breakfast. Then, some of my dorm mate bought zippo lighter. After that we went to ATM shopping mall, bought some stuff for parent. Then we rush back to school for closing ceremony. The closing ceremony was quite boring but the firework was quite fun. Went back to dorm and had fried rice for dinner. TOMORROW >>>>>>

Day 40 Sunday (12 April 2009)

Woke up late, as we play game last night very late. Then, we went to Lu Xiang shopping mall for last shopping. I bought some stuff for my brother then we went to IT mall for last place to shop. I bought one more MP3 player for my friend. I spend almost all of money. Left with 80 rmp. After back to dorm, marc still want to Shou yi guang chang to buy some stuff for parents.

Day 39 Saturday (11 April 2009)

Woke up late, went to fish ball restaurant again for lunch. We order small portion of fish ball but later restaurant owner give us big portion, said “We are regular customer” but she didn’t know we going back soon. We order some vegetable as well but the taste was sucks and too much tomato. After lunch we went Hu quan night market. Bought some stuff for friends in Singapore. Thanks to marc, he’s good at bargaining. Counting down 3 more days.

Day 38 Friday (10 April 2009)

Went to Hankou for shopping, the weather was much better than the last time we visit. I had thai fried rice in a restaurant. The food was quite nice, not much oily and salty. After lunch we went to ATM shopping mall and I bought a VANS shoe. We walk around Hankou and found hankou “MRT” station, which was quite similar to Singapore MRT station. We went back to dorm and play game until midnight. Counting down 4 more days.

Day 37 Thursday (9 April 2009)

I woke up a bit early went alone to classroom for project interview. Before I go for interview I prepare a lot. But Mr Ma didn’t ask much about code. Only he asks about enhancement code and some other questions. I feel I can score full mark for my project. After that we went to IT mall because most of my dorm mate want buy razar mouse. Before they buy razer mouse, we went to buy some earpiece and MP3. Marc bargain until half price. I think we bought around 12 earpieces and 6 mp3 and 10 razar mouse. After we walk around but we did not found anything interesting, went back to dorm. Counting down 5 more days

Day 36 Wednesday (8 April 2009)

This morning we went to Shou yi guang chang for shopping which is nearby Yellow crane tower. Most of us bought VANS shoes because it very cheap and look like original even it is fake. After shopping around me, benson, marc and wenhao want to go GYM. In Wuhan, most of the foods are oily and I feel like I’m getting fat. So I decided to go GYM. We left the rest and waited for CAB for half an hour. We met a “drunk and smart” driver, who bring us unknown place and at the end he told us he don’t where we want to go, cost 57 rmp to reach our place instead of paying 47 rmp. It was quite late evening, so we went to fish ball restaurant for dinner. After that we went to GYM for while. In china, taking a CAB is very risky if you’re not local.

Day 35 Tuesday (7 April 2009)

I had just 1hours plus to sleep. My friends woke up me told me that today had some outward bound activities. I totally forgot. We reach the place a bit late. They start with some icebreakers game, the game was quit childish. After icebreakers other group NP come and join us. They make 4 groups, ask each group to own logo, name, flag and cheers. At first, I feel sleepy as well as very boring. After that we were given around 40 pieces of newspapers, these papers are to make into tank wheel, we will we wheel and the papers will be outer layer of wheel. We have to move like wheel for 10 meters. I found quit challenging. Finally our group member and I come out some idea. At the end we won the race, WE GOT NUMBER 1.After that we went for lunch. After lunch there was some rock climbing activities .After all the activities, we got very good news that our test 2 has been postpone to 21 April. It means we no need worry about test in Wuhan. We have a lot of time for shopping. Count down 7 more days.

Day 34 Monday (6 April 2009)

Countdown, 8 more days. I woke up late again. But I didn’t go out with my friends. I just stay at dorm to study for test 2.Afternoon had remedial for APPG but I didn’t attend because it was not compulsory. I eat cup noodle. At night we went to fake KFC to have dinner not able to go KFC because running out of money. Back to dorm, I talk to my family until 3:30am, after that I study with my friends until 6:00 am.

Day 33 Sunday (5 April 2009)

Again woke up very late, around 5pm. We went to fish ball restaurant and had our dinner plus lunch. After that I study chapter 7 for a while. We play game for a while, and then Jit Siong suddenly tells us to go up to eat cake, Ernest mom birthday. But I lazy to up but thanks to my dorm mate, they bring for me and especially Ernest, he send for me. Later I watch soccer on CCTV 5. It was very short day but we had fun.

Day 32 Saturday (4 April 2009)

Most of us didn’t have even lunch due to woke up late. We went Hu Quan night market as everybody hungry we go to fake KFC to eat before we shop and I eat 2 meals. After that, we bought some bags, shoes and had some road side food. Since, we had a lot of food, in order to digest we walk further to find some more shopping mall or night market. We found some small branded shop. But we didn’t found what we were looking for. At the end we give up and take Cab to back to dorm. Before we sleep we play game even never open APPG book.4 more days to test.

Day 31 Friday (3 April 2009

Today, Mr Ma asks give past year test 2 paper. We tried to do but it was very difficult. After that he gives us test 1 paper was very disappointed in my result due to careless mistake for greater than, less than (<, >), quite sad. After that Mr Chua said afternoon class has been cancel and until Monday. Went back to dorm and I do mini project. Sleep very late around morning 4am.

Day 30 Thursday (2 April 2009)

I had to wake up early again for Chinese lesson because yesterday lecturer didn’t finish and I do not know about that. Finally, the lecturer finishes his 176 slides lecture. We got to summarize all, stress. Afternoon, Chinese lesson again and it was about marriage and Feng Shui. But this time was different classroom. We have use headset to listen. So, good for us we can lower down volume and sleep but the table was so same that even can’t put our laptop. After lesson, we had some good news that 2Day 1 night trip has been cancel because we really don’t have time to prepare for test 2. Most of us happily return to dorm start to play game for the whole evening.

Day 29 Wednesday (1 April 2009)

Woke up a bit early, Chinese lesson. It was about Chinese tradition. As usual need to summarize and most of us found boring. Afternoon no lesson, it was time to write summary. After that we went to IT mall to my razer mouse but too bad IT close at 5 pm and we reach there around 5:30 pm. We walk around outside and just bought some DVDs. After that we went by Cab. In Cab, I and my friends plan for April’s fool. As we expect no body aware about this.

Day 28 Tuesday (31st march 2009)

I show lab 6 to Mr Ma but he find some error in my program and I got to some changes. After that he start array lecture. Which I found a bit difficult and I ask my friends for some help. Mr Ma ask us use array in mini project but I didn’t know how to apply. When I back to dorm, search on Web. I found some the tips from C# forums.

Day 27 Monday (30th march 2009)

Woke up at 8pm, need to do some clean up for last night BBQ. But before 9:00 we receive message from Mr Chua, no need to go. Thanks to china student because they clean it and lesson postpone to 10 pm. Lesson started with lab 6 and Mr Ma ask to finish by today and all lab by end of the week, stress. But before we go back we have 5 days free and easy. I finished lab 6 at midnight. But I still worry about lab 7.

Day 26 Sunday (29th march 2009)

Woke up very late. My friends went to Lu Xiang Plaza but I didn’t because I want to start doing mini – project. I did use interface then it was 3:30pm and all my friends back. We went for BBQ, organize by china the china students. It started out without fire starters but instead weeds and branches. A new experience for me. Maybe I can use next time if there is no fire starters. Most of us were sit around and talking. I didn’t eat anything at BBQ and my friends had some BBQ foods, just to show china student that we like it. After a while we went out and had dinner at fish ball restaurant. The fish ball taste was quit good but is soft and like jelly.

Day 25 Saturday (28th march 2009)

Today, Woke up late and rush to meeting point to go for shopping but the bus was late and also raining. We wait for bus half an hour under umbrella and it was very cold. When bus comes all ran to bus and settle down. After an hour we reach to Wuhan Beach Park but there also raining. Nobody wanted to go outside because very cold. The tour guide asks us to go Jiang Han Bu Xing Jie and we ran to fast-food restaurant for breakfast. We had our breakfast, we went out to shop but still raining. Most of the shop sells branded things and expensive but I think that is same price with Singapore. After waking around in rain, we went to Starbucks to have some hot drinks and snacks. The weather was cold so we just stay there for an hours. After that, we went nearby shopping mall bought ourselves playboy jackets. Then, we went to meet other, but due to heavy rain our lecturers decided to go back to school but some of us alighted halfway at around Yellow crane tower for shopping. There was no rain but cold. I brought some stuff then we ate at a fast food restaurant which looks same as KFC.

Day 24 Friday (27th march 2009)

We Woke up 8:30 and had breakfast, rush for bus to industrial visit. Which took 2 hrs reach to the place. When we reach Mr Chua ask us not to make noise and take photo expect show room. There was a person who goes through some of their process and Mr Chua translate to English as he speaks Chinese. But they do want show all the process because they don’t want to lose some secret. But I didn’t understand anything about the process. After that we went back to school and had lunch at nearby restaurant. Then, we start to prepare for test 1. Some of my dorm rest for while. We went to classroom for test and it was not easy but most of us able to do it. We went to enjoy our dinner at KFC but on the way back raining.

Day 23 Thursday (26th march 2009)

Mr asks us to do APPG revision again. But I start to do lab 6 and my project. After that we had IS. He ask us to assignment 1 because we late for submission. After lunch, we had trial test 1 because next we are going actual test 1. Mr Chua told us that next day we are going to visit Yangtze optical Fibre and Cable Company Limited. This is world second biggest company of optical Fibre and Cable.

Day 22 Wednesday (25th march 2009)

As usual we went to classroom we had the whole day APPG revision and practice past year paper for theory test 1. It was a bit boring I sleep for a while but my friend weak up me. After that we went KFC for lunch. Afternoon, Mr MA go through all the past years paper. After that we went Luxiang Plaza to change money because I and kaya left with little money. But all banks were closed. We went around Luxiang Plaza my friends want to have dinner at Japanese restaurant. We order a lot of food which cost RMB 545 but we get around 50 Boucher which worth RMB 250. After that we went to play arcade for a while. We went back dorm very late.

Day 21 Tuesday (24th march 2009)

Today, I woke up a bit late then other because I was in second batch to do lab test. I went classroom wait for while, first batch to finish test. After first batch, I ask my friends form first batch about, they said easy. After that I went for test. It was really easy but there was some enactment to do which I found a bit difficult. After that we went to Hu Quan night market, it was very crowed. We walk around bought some stuff. After that we rush back to dorm because there was a meeting at 9:30pm.

Day 19 Sunday (22th March 2009)

I woke up around 5:45 to bath and ask my roommate Woke up but he was very tired, he didn’t bath. After that I went to other room to wake them and then check- out. We went same restaurant again for breakfast and I had one egg and soya mink. After breakfast, we went to take cable car but we got queue for very long and some local people cut queue using their kids and try to push us. And we break into 2 groups because of them as well as not being as smart as them. So we learn how to cut queue, push and close every single gap between us. Finally we reach to cable car, after queuing for around 2 hrs. At first I thought it is not fat but it was very long taken around half an hour to reach peak of Mountain. After taking some group photo, we went down because hungry. We took some jump shot with Mr Chua. We had our lunch at nearby restaurant. After late lunch, we went back to bus interchange. And then we went back to University which took 6 hrs. We reach very late night and our teacher post bond class for an hour.

Day 18 Saturday (21th March 2009)

I woke up around 6:30 am but we late for bus because everybody Woke up same time. The tour guide told us the journey is very long, around 6 to 7 hrs. I try to sleep but I weak up after half an hour because my friend was sleeping on my shoulder. I took his PSP to play for the rest of journey. Finally we reach to WuDang Town for lunch but the food there was not nice. After lunch we went the bus interchange of Wudang to tour around Mountain. Our group stopped at three places, Ta Zi Gong, Zi Xiao Gong, and Nanyan Gong walks around, took photo. After that we went back to same restaurant for dinner, the food was almost same. After dinner ,we went to a hotel to stay overnight, the room there was better than our dorm and cruise room but too bad that we was there for one night. We put our stuff in room then went outside to buy some snack but most of the shop there was close because it was around 9:30 pm.

Day 17 Friday (20th March 2009)

Today, APPG lesson start 9am, I did lab5 until user interface. But I was not able to do coding, it very difficult. After lesson Mr Ma brief about mini project, we had to hand in the project title by Monday and it is individual. I had some project in my mind, like Restaurant revenue management, financial planning and etc, but I was not able to decide. After class, we went to night market, Hu Quan . The place was a bit smelly, I think due to road side stall and cooking all kind of different animals, rabbit, dog and so on. We spend a lot due to stuff there are very cheap but we came back early. Some of my dorm mate want go again. Because next day we are going to WuDang Mountain at 6:45 am.

Day 20 Monday (23th march 2009)

Today, we woke up late but the weather was very cold as well as raining. We try to run to our classroom but the wind was opposite direction and very dry then we walk like 4 drenched men. We late for class but our lecturer didn’t say anything, I think he understand us, as we are not used to this kind of weather. Mr Ma summarized chapter 5, 6 and 7 for our project. After that we had lab trail test. He wants us to think project title base on all chapter. And then I finished lab 5. After that we went outside for dinner. We bought some stuff from supermarket for out breakfast.

Day 16

Today APPG lesson started doing lab 4 but I did user interface a day before. So, I just write the code. But it was very hard, got 3 parts, it was car sale, which include insurance, accessories and trade-in calculation. After lesson we went to play basketball, it was very fun because we play “any how”. We go KFC for dinner and sleep early.

Day 15

Today, we woke up 1 hrs early than other day because had the china business strategies and etiquette lecture by china’s lecturer. The lectures was very boring, because he was just taking about foreign Business etiquette, not about include china. I sleep for 1 hrs and we went to dorm for lunch and we did summary of the lectures. It was just copy and paste because I really don’t understand. After that we went to Digital mall. It is very big, have 4 building. But the electronic stuff, price is not very cheap. So, I didn’t buy anything. We went to eat spring chicken. It is very nice, with honey and they give glove for u to eat. We took cab, back to dorm.

Day 14

Woke up early in the morning, went to steel factory. We walk 10 mins in factory and it was interesting because the metal steel will first heated up in very high temperature. The heat, we can feel from 30m. There are few machines to clean metal, cool the metal and roll. We can’t take photos inside as per our teachers. After that we went to Luxiang Plaza for lunch. On the way to Luxiang Plaza, due to heavy traffic the bus driver took shortcut but it did work out because road was close and he u-turn all the way back which took very long to reach Luxiang Plaza. We had our lunch at Pizza hut. We went back to school around 2pm for APPG class.

Day 13

Morning woke up late as per normal, we are never had breakfast. Went to APPG class, I start to do lab 3 and I found a bit difficult. It includes calculation and message box. After class we went to dorm to use internet, not able to use internet in classroom. After that we went for our social interaction program, it was so good that china’s student organize it for us. There was singing, dancing and funny game but I just sit down quietly because had flu. And our classmate also performs and did some stunt.

Day 12

Today, is the last day of cruise, we had our breakfast at cruise. We check out at 7:30am and took a bus, which took 4 hrs to reach Wuhan. On the way back, the bus stop at a supermarket and I brought some stuff. After reached to dorm, we rest a while, my dorm mate went to play volleyball.

Day 11

Today, I woke up a bit late due to I was not able to hear any announcement. We cannot even bath, there was no hot water. And I went for breakfast, had porridge, a very cold boiled egg. We transfer to another ship to go Yangtze Shennong Stream. When we reach there, we took little wooden boat around Sehn Nong Jia, the place was very quiet. Tracker begins their very heavy work of moving small boat to upstream. After that we went back our cruise for lunch and it was around 3pm, I was very hungry and had very spicy foods. We saw 1 of the beautiful Gorge, which can be found 10 RMB china note.

Day 10

Today is the day that we will be going to the three gorges. After packing my things and washing up, we went to the meeting place and get ready to board the bus. As last night I did sleep properly, once I sat down I started to doze off. The trip from Wuhan to Yichang takes about 4 hours and one more hours to reach the 3 gorges. At about 12 plus, we reach Yichang and we went to a restaurant called Yansha Dajiudian. The food there is quite nice. After eating, we boarded the bus again to go to the 3 gorges. The scenery there is very nice and we took a lot of pictures there and group photo too. As time is running out, we went to board the cruise straight away. The tour guide gave us our room key and we put down our luggage and went to 4th floor to see the ship rise up the dam. After playing card we went to sleep.

Day 9

Early in the morning, I had to Wake up at 7:00 am because I had to wash my cloth and there in no washing machine. It’s was raining outside and very cold. When went outside it was more clod and heavy rain than I expected. Mr Ma asks us to do lab 2 which found not much difficult. Our class end a bit early because there was interactive basketball competition with the china student. Our classmate won the match by 61 to 54, but the game had lots of foul by our classmates.

Day 8

Today, went to classroom a bit late, some groups were did IS presentation (Singapore history and culture). My group was last one to present and totally unprepared and Mr Chua ask us do again. We went KFC to have lunch. At night some of our friends help us to clean our dorm.

Day 7

Today is 1st APPG class, which application programming. Teacher asked us to lab 1. It was a bit because C# is base on C programming. But I forgot to install VS 2008, when I was in Singapore. So, it took long time do lab 1. After afternoon lesson, went to night to have dinner, but it was too crowed. We bought some bread for breakfast because most of the days we missed our breakfast.

Day 6

We had first lecture by Chinese teacher, and it was about history of Hubei and Wuhan as well as she cover some part of china. At start, it was a bit interesting but after while I keep on falling asleep. Afternoon, I had to summarized the PowerPoint slides of History of Wuhan. After that, we went to hostel rest, I had my dinner at hostel because lazy to go out. It was a bit cold as well.

Day 5 Sunday (8th March 2009)

Day five was OTOT, mean own time and own target. So, everybody Woke up very late, around 12 noon. We took a van to go Luxiang Plaza, which cost just two time of bus fare. We had lunch at McDonald, but due to not enough space, we sit outside staircase. We were looking for prepaid card to call our home. But we did not find. It is a very big plaza, so we just tour around 1, 2 and 3 floors. And we went a restaurant and had fish ball soup. Unlike Singapore’s fish ball, it is very soft and like jelly

Day 4 Saturday (7th March 2009)

Day four was very interesting day because our plan was to visit Dong Hu Lake, Hubei provincial museum and Yellow crane tower. And we went to Dong Hu Lake first, which is also known as East Lake. The weather was very cold. We took tram to tour around and the wind was blowing to our face. During the journey I saw small building and temples. Occasionally we stop at some checkpoint to take photo. After that we went to Hubei provincial museum and had to declare our personal belongings before entering the premises. When we entered the museum, I noticed that there are quite a few exhibition halls. The exhibition that entered had a lot of national treasure such as bronze sword. But as we walk along we got bored, so we went parade square to chit chat. In the meantime I got hungry so I went to the food stall to get a chicken burger. After a while we gathered in bus and we headed to Yellow crane Tower. We climbed to yellow crane tower and stop at the first and second story took picture. We heard ‘dong dong’ sound and went down. We saw a bell but need to pay money. We came to our hostel, had dinner and went to sleep.

Day 3 Friday (6th march 2009)

We were supposed to reach classroom at 9am for first lesson but due to we woke up late, reached there around 9:15am and we did not have breakfast. The first 2 groups present about History and culture of Singapore. It was like going back to 60s, 70s. At evening, we went to KFC, which is nearby University.
